I had the opportunity to experience the new Jazz Brunch offered at the St. Regis Restaurant in the St. Regis Hotel. The dining room is beyond beautiful and elegant, it dates back to the 1920's. The music was tranquil and unobtrusive, it only added to the ambiance of being in such a historical restaurant.
They offered various stations with a variety of options, such as a cold seafood, cheese and charcuterie, Bottomless Mimosa's and Bloody Marys. You also get to order a main dish off the menu. I had the Crab Eggs Benedict, It was so delicious!
They had a pastry cart full of luscious desserts ranging from Tiramisu to lemon tarts to Macaroons, prepared in house by the talented Pastry Chef Thierry and his team.
Kudos to the lovely hostess Oksana, our server Jose, the managers ( Andy and Fernando )who were ever present in the dining area, checking on all. The new Chef Ruven has a real winner with the food he is offering at DC's newest Brunch in Downtown DC.
